Microsoft Surface PC 2000

The second and final Surface to be based on the Windows 9x code, the Surface PC 2000 ran Windows Me and was suitably touted as the tablet for the new millennium. Still 1366x768 but now with 16-bit High Color and two USB 1.0 inputs, the Surface PC 2000 was more a gaming machine than ever. Some OS issues meant that the Surface PC 2000 encountered some of the problem desktop computers did, but nevertheless it sold well until it was succeeded by the Surface XP in 2002.
